Sustainability Features
About EDGE
EDGE is an internationally recognised sustainability standard, developed by the International Finance Corporation, that focuses on creating resource-efficient, cost-effective buildings through a clear, data-led approach.
It measures performance across three key areas:
- Energy efficiency: reducing demand for heating, cooling and lighting
- Water efficiency: lowering consumption through smarter design
- Materials efficiency: reducing embodied energy in construction
To achieve EDGE Certification, buildings must demonstrate a minimum 20% reduction across these areas compared to local benchmarks. EDGE Advanced goes further, requiring 40%+ energy savings, delivering meaningful environmental impact alongside long-term operational benefits.
