Progress to Date

In September 2022, GSS Developments acquired the former Continental Tyres Factory Site, marking the beginning of an ambitious regeneration journey. Since then, the site has seen remarkable transformation, underpinned by strong planning progress and substantial infrastructure investment. In November 2023, Planning Permission in Principle was granted for the wider masterplan, representing a major milestone in delivering this high-quality, sustainable industrial and logistics hub. Alongside this, detailed planning consent has been secured for Plot 1 and Plot 5, positioning both plots for immediate development.

Extensive infrastructure works have now been completed, including the installation of the main spine road and essential utilities, fully opening up the site for phased delivery. Plot 1 is under construction, featuring a speculative multi-let industrial scheme designed to meet modern market demand with flexible, high-specification units. Plot 5, with detailed consent for a 50,000 sqft standalone unit, is ready for development and available for pre-let opportunities.

With a range of remaining serviced plots and flexible design-and-build options available, the development offers significant scope for bespoke occupier solutions, setting a new benchmark for industrial and logistics space in the region.
